We’ve been thinking about it all day…

Not if we’re gonna beat the Orleans Police Department…
but how bad it’s gonna be when we do.

They’ve been “training.”
We’ve been doing real work, you know, the kind where people actually need you.

They’ll show up with whistles and excuses.
We’ll show up with stamina, grit, and a full tank because dragging hose lines hits a little different than writing parking tickets.

Let’s call it what it is…

This ain’t a game.
This is a public demonstration.

So come pack the stands and watch it unfold. It might be the only time you’ll see PD running without a cruiser involved.

We’re bringing the heat.
They’re bringing… paperwork.

Today, we recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. The voices behind the scenes who answer the call when everything is on the line.

These professionals are the calm in the chaos. They are the first first responders, gathering critical information, coordinating resources, and keeping responders and citizens safe, all without ever being seen.

This week, we want to give special recognition to one of our own, Heidi Tye, for her dedication and service at the Bloomington Police Central Dispatch Center in Monroe County.

Heidi represents everything this profession stands for professionalism, composure under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to helping others on their worst days.

From all of us, thank you for the long hours, the difficult calls, and the unseen sacrifices. Your voice makes a difference every single day.
