Lower Cape Outreach Council

Lower Cape Outreach Council LCOC serves as a source of hope and help for people in need in the towns of Harwich, Chatham, Eastham,Brewster, Orleans, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown.

Last year, we gave out over $1,400,000 of emergency assistance to 3, 845 lower Cape households that turned to us for food, clothing or financial help. Over 300 local volunteers run every major program and service of the Lower Cape Outreach Council. This makes it possible for us to turn eighty-two cents of every donated dollar right back into the communities we serve. Our volunteers run our food pr

ograms and our free clothing store. They work in our front office, serve as advocates and mentors to our clients, work in our community garden and serve on the various committees that keeping our organization running.

The Lower Cape Outreach Council’s 15th Annual Super Restaurant Blowout was a tremendous success!

We raised $61,865. And every cent of this money will go to providing food to nearly 1,500 households from Harwich to Provincetown who utilize our 8 food pantries.

This year’s winners are:
1st Prize (12 gift certificates) - Jack Bulwidas of Brewster

2nd Prize (10 gift certificates) – Marsha Salett of Needham

3rd Prize (8 gift certificates) – Mary Jo Murphy of Brewster

4th Prize Wild Card (11 gift certificates) – Stephen Jones of Brewster
