Nauset Spit OSV Update

Nauset Spit “Residents” will open to over-sand vehicles at sunrise on Friday, June 12.

Please park perpendicular to the water and minimize your footprint so that we can accommodate as many as possible with the limited room we have.

Steve and Sarah Swain own the Frying Pan Gallery in Orleans and Wellfleet and recently started renting their Eastham property to local workers through the Lease to Locals program. Here's what they had to say:

"The Lease to Locals program was instrumental in helping us justify the lower rental income common with year-round leases, versus short-term Airbnb-style rentals... The program helped bridge that gap and made it possible for us to do what we already felt was the right thing for the community. This is about keeping the people who live and work here on Cape Cod - so our businesses and our towns can continue to thrive."

Property owners in Orleans and Eastham can earn up to $15,000 on top of rent by converting a property into a year-round rental for local workers. Learn more at Placemate.com/Orleans or call (508) 290-7979.

The parade wraps up at Town Cove Tap.
