Day 3 consisted of George Washington’s Mount Vernon, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, and hotel games. Students, teachers, and chaperones had a blast!

For Day 2, we explored Gettysburg, watched the Washington Nationals beat the San Diego Padres, and visited more memorials in D.C.

Louis represented DMS and Orange County Public Schools at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. for the second year in a row. Way to go, Louis! 👏

Since 2024, you can always count on the Avetis brothers from Florida for the best drip on the Bee stage. Louis, an 8th grader at Orange County Public Schools, (like his brother Elvis before him) loves to rock the bespoke suit and bowtie! Louis has advanced to Round 3, so the fabulous fashion will continue!
