BANGARANG!!

This weekend was unforgettable. Three of our teams qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championship at the State Championship on Sunday, and we could not be more proud.

5956A: Robot Skills Champion and winner of the Think Award
5956Z: Tournament Finalists
5956W: Qualified through their high Robot Skills score.

This year also marks something truly special - the 13th year in a row that Bangarang has competed at the World Championship. To top it off, we are sending the most teams in OCPS to the championship this year.

But, what makes us proudest isn’t just the awards. It’s the way they’ve worked together all season:
The collaboration.
The shared problem-solving.
The many hours spent working together.
The willingness to help each other debug, rebuild, rethink, and try again.

They didn’t just build robots. They built a team culture. That’s what makes champions.

To my team members: No matter what happens at Worlds, you have already proven that you belong there. Now go compete with confidence, curiosity, and heart.

Good luck at the VEX Robotics World Championship. You’ve earned every second of it.

What an incredible end to our regular season! We are so proud of all our teams and their hard work paying off in such a big way.

At our home competition on 1/24, we had an amazing showing:
Team W – 🥇 Robot Skills Champion
Team Z – 🥈 2nd Place Robot Skills
Team W & Team Y – Tournament Finalists

Last Saturday at Neocity, the momentum continued:
Team A – 🏆 Tournament Champions and 2nd place Robot Skills
Team W – Design Award Winner
Team Y – Earned enough Robot Skills points to qualify for the State Championship!

So proud of the dedication, teamwork, and growth we’ve seen all season. Best of luck to all these teams heading to States in two weeks — we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 💪🤖

BANGARANG!!

Tournament Champions! Team W and Team Z won the tournament together at Newsome High School. Team Z is now qualified for the state championship. Team Z also won Robot Skills Champion and the Innovate Award. Team W also won the Design Award and were second in Robot Skills. Please help me congratulate our teams.

A new record! Yesterday, four of our teams qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, TX. This will be the 12th year in a row that our teams have gotten the opportunity to compete at this level. The state championship is always full of twists and surprises, and yesterday was no exception. One of our rookie teams, Team X, made it all the way to the finals earning them a spot at the world championship in their first year on the team. Team B who already qualified for the world championship in January won the Build Award at the state championship. Both Team F and Team D qualified for the world championship through their high robot skills scores that they earned at the state championship yesterday. Team D also received the sportsmanship award. All of our teams performed exceptionally well, and it was a fun competition. Please help me congratulate our teams, and wish them luck at worlds.

Team D won the tournament at Apopka High School and was 1st in the qualifying rounds. Team F was 2nd in robot skills. Team G won the tournament at FAMU and also received the Judges Award. Because of this win, Team G qualified for the state championship. Team A is also now qualified for the state championship through their robot skills ranking. All 7 Bangarang teams are now qualified for the state championship this Sunday. We currently have the most teams of any FL organization competing at the state championship. Please help me congratulate our teams for a great season and wish them luck at state.

BANGARANG!!!

We hosted one of the last competitions of the season last Saturday at TC. Our teams performed exceptionally well. Team B won the tournament and the Think Award. They had to play against Team F and Team A during the final round. It was really exciting to have 3 teams in the finals. Team D won the Design Award which qualified them for the State Championship. Wish them luck at state. Team X won the Innovate Award. Team F won the Amaze Award. Four of our teams also ranked in the top 5 for Robot Skills. 2nd-5th place (Team D, Team B, Team C, TeamF). It was a fun and exciting competition.

We had some of our older former team members come back to help us out during the competition (Melinda Ramos, Dominic Schnaath, Rose Moskowitz, Morgan Tyler, Leah Wendland, Brian Oribe, Joe Dale, Will Lovelace, and Zach Pavel. It was great hearing about the awesome things they are doing now in their careers and in college.

We now have 5 of our teams competing at the state championship in a few weeks, and there is one last competition today. Wish everyone luck.

Team C qualified for the state championship at a competition in Interlachen, Florida. They were 1st in the qualifying rounds, 3rd in Robot Skills, and were tournament finalists. Wish them luck at state.
