The Environmental Law Society at Florida A&M University College of Law FAMU ELS is committed to enhancing the field of Environmental Law, by bringing awareness to Environmental Justice issues here in Orlando, FL and abroad.

Environmental Justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people, regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies. The FAMU chapter of ELS works to promote environmental justice issues affecting our central Florida communities. FAMU ELS believes that equal acc

ess to the decision-making process is vital to the protection of our most vulnerable communities from environmental hazards. All communities and persons across this Nation should enjoy the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards.

The Nebraska Public Service Commission voted 3-2 Monday to allow the Keystone XL pipeline to cross the state. The decision is a key step toward the completion of the Keystone Pipeline network.
