🎓 Because this community shows UP, graduates are stepping into new careers and new stability.

Today, we celebrate the graduates of our 74th STEP cohort and all they have accomplished. One graduate shared:

💬 "The STEP Program has encouraged me to reach my goals and to reach higher beyond my circumstances."

To everyone who volunteered, attended graduation, cheered our students on, invested in this program, and to the staff who pour their hearts into helping each participant succeed—thank you. These moments are possible because of you.

For many families, balancing the cost of groceries with other household expenses can be a challenge. Through our Member Share Grocery Program, families throughout Central Florida can stretch their budgets further while still bringing home quality food and everyday essentials.

Whether you're feeding a family, supporting loved ones, or simply looking for ways to make your income go further, we're here to help. Our doors are open 7 days a week because no one should have to choose between putting food on the table and paying for other necessities.

This summer, more families across Central Florida are turning to for food assistance, crisis support, and employment services as rising costs continue to strain household budgets.

Pride is more than a celebration. It is a vibrant declaration of love, identity, resilience, and the ongoing fight for justice. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

At United Against Poverty Orlando, we recognize that while progress has been made, LGBTQIA+ individuals and families still face disproportionate barriers, including higher rates of poverty and economic instability. The data is clear: same-sex and gender-diverse couples are more vulnerable to the challenges we work every day to overcome.

Here in Orlando, a city known for its vibrant LGBTQIA+ community, diversity, and strength, we are reminded of the importance of creating spaces where every person feels safe, valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. Our community is strongest when everyone belongs. 💙

💙 If you have ever visited the campus, chances are you have met Mr. Ray. And if you have met Mr. Ray, you probably left smiling.

With his infectious laugh, kind heart, and ability to make every person feel seen and special, Mr. Ray has become such an important part of our UP Orlando family. From graduating our Success Training Employment Program (STEP) to now giving back as a dedicated volunteer, his journey is a beautiful reminder of the power of hope, perseverance, and community.

Recently, Spectrum News 13 spotlighted Mr. Ray and the incredible impact he makes every day through his volunteer service. As a client turned volunteer, he now spends his time uplifting others, helping families in our Member Share Grocery Program, and showing compassion to everyone he meets.

Mr. Ray truly embodies what it means to offer “hope and a hand up.” 💙

🥬🧀🍞 At , we are here uplifting families every single day, 7 days a week. Through our Member Share Grocery Program, we serve more than 450 families daily by providing access to fresh, quality groceries.

From pantry staples and fresh produce to a variety of grocery options that create a dignified experience, our goal is simple: help ease the financial burden of food for low-income families throughout our community by providing a HAND UP! 💙

Members can save up to TWO-THIRDS of their household food and product budget by utilizing our grocery program, allowing families to stretch their income further while still accessing nutritious and quality items for their households.

Membership is always FREE for households at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. If you or someone you know could benefit from additional support, we are here for you.

Together, we are supporting our ALICE community: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed households who are working hard every day but still struggling to afford basic necessities like housing, food, childcare, transportation, and healthcare.

Through this continued partnership, families in our community have access to critical crisis support, financial empowerment opportunities, and resources that help create pathways toward stability and self-sufficiency.
