💭 🤔 Is distracted driving a choice or are our brains wired in a way that makes distractions inevitable? We invite you to come look deeper with us where we bring the two perspectives together, bridging neuroscience and transportation design to reimagine how we prevent distraction and save lives on our roads.

Our speakers include Jennifer M. Katzenstein, PhD, ABPP CN, a pediatric neuropsychologist and national speaker, who will explore the science of how our brains function and why distraction is so difficult to avoid, including the role of mental health in attention, impulse control, and hazard perception, and Patricia Tice, PE, PhD who will shift the focus from the driver to the road itself. Drawing on transportation and safety research, Patricia will demonstrate how road design directly influences driver behavior.
