Our Spring Hills Hunter's Creek residents recently enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day at the Harry P. Leu Gardens! Our self-guided tour included the botanical gardens, the Leu House Museum, and the "Dinosaur Invasion" outdoor exhibit. Just look at those smiles!

Residents of Spring Hills Hunter's Creek enjoyed a fabulous Easter brunch, featuring some wonderful dishes handmade by Executive Chef Mabel "Chefy" Prado. They were also visited by a special guest, wishing everyone a HOPPY Easter!

Residents at Spring Hills Hunters Creek have been enjoying our gardening club and the benefits of Horticulture Therapy by planting some flower bulbs before the spring season begins! Did you know that Horticultural Therapy helps improve memory, cognitive abilities, task initiation, language skills, and socialization? Spring Hills Hunter's Creek recently celebrated the 24th anniversary of beloved associate, Rafael Francisco! Rafael, affectionately known as "Raf" or "Rafa". Rafael is a proud member of the Spring Hills family. He is not just a Maintenance Coordinator; he is one of the main sources of support for all of the residents, associates, and families of our community. He is dependable, kind, committed, and dedicated to his work. He says "yes" to any request with an emphatic nod and smile.

It is a joy and pleasure for all who get the privilege to work alongside him. He likes to help others and strives to keep every resident’s home like his own. His hobby is gardening and he loves spending time with his family so we had a party with all of our employees, including his daughter Leidy who is also a SHHC employee! We served Rafael’s favorite cake, carrot cake, handmade by our chef and gifted him a home-gardening system.

Raf is a true reflection of the Spring Hills motto of "Caring with a Commitment to Quality." Thank you for your dedication and loyalty!

Today's associate spotlight is Deontae Johnson, Dining Captain!

"Deontae has consistently gone above and beyond his job duties as a Dining Captain to care for the resident's on a personal level. He makes sure they are taken care of and that they feel loved and honored. He walks residents back to their apartments after meals and makes time to get to know them individually. He always asks them how they are feeling and helps to facilitate assistance for them. He is kind and compassionate and a great asset to our team!"

Take a look at our bus trip to Beck's Brothers Grove in Orlando to pick blueberries!

It was a beautiful Florida day and the residents and staff enjoyed the fresh air. The residents picked 12 pints of blueberries! It was a great time and for many it was their first time picking blueberries! Residents brought home their fruit and enjoyed a healthy snack.

We enjoyed a wonderful Easter/Spring Party here at Spring Hills Hunters Creek!

We had an exciting egg hunt with candy and a big Movie Theme basket for first prize and a jazzy concert and dancing with yummy treats served by our caterers, (Activity Team). Gene M. was so happy to win the basket!
