🌼 Hello, June! 🌼

The Town of Orland welcomes the arrival of June and all the beauty, sunshine, and community spirit that come with it!

As summer begins to settle in, our parks are green, flowers are blooming, and the days are a little longer—giving us more opportunities to enjoy everything that makes Orland such a special place to call home.

June brings the excitement of summer activities, family gatherings, outdoor adventures, and preparations for many of the events our community looks forward to each year. Whether you're spending time at the park, supporting local businesses, attending community events, or simply enjoying a quiet evening on the porch, we hope you take time to enjoy the season.

Thank you to all of our residents, volunteers, businesses, and employees who help keep Orland a welcoming and vibrant community.

Here's to a safe, enjoyable, and memorable June in the Town of Orland! ☀️🌸🇺🇸

🚧 **ATTENTION TOWN RESIDENTS** 🚧

Please be advised that the walking track at the Town Park will be **CLOSED** starting today while a crew works on necessary crack filling and sealing.

📅 **Expected Reopening:** Monday, June 1st

We know how much our community loves using this track, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we give it some much-needed maintenance to keep it safe and smooth for everyone.

Please stay off the track surface during this time to allow the sealant to dry properly. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy the park's other amenities!

Thank you for helping us keep our town beautiful and well-maintained! 🌳✨

🇺🇸Town Office Closure & Remembering the True Meaning of Memorial Day 🇺🇸

In observance of Memorial Day, all Town Offices will be closed on Monday, May 25th. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26th.

More Than a Long Weekend
While Monday brings a welcome break and the unofficial start of summer, our town remembers that this day carries a much deeper meaning. Memorial Day is a sacred time for our community to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in our nation’s armed forces.

Our town has a proud history of service, and many of our own neighbors, friends, and family members are among those who answered the call and never returned home. We owe them a debt of gratitude that can never fully be repaid.

Join Us in Remembering
We encourage everyone in our community to take a moment this Monday to honor their memory:

Visit Memorial Park: Stop by for a quiet moment of reflection, to walk the paths, and to pay your respects to those who gave everything for our freedom.

Observe the National Moment of Remembrance: Pause for one minute of silence at 3:00 PM local time.

"Home of the free, because of the brave."

Have a safe, meaningful, and reflective Memorial Day weekend.

🇺🇸 As we prepare to celebrate America’s birthday, the Town of Orland is looking extra patriotic thanks to the hard work and community pride of some very talented people!

A huge thank you to Town Council Vice President Chris Sanders for designing and hanging the beautiful patriotic banners throughout town. Your dedication and countless hours of work help make Orland look welcoming and festive for residents and visitors alike.

We would also like to thank The Garden Shed for creating and potting the stunning patriotic planters displayed around town. The vibrant red, white, and blue arrangements are a beautiful addition to our downtown and truly showcase Orland’s community spirit. 🌺🇺🇸

Thank you both for helping make Orland shine as we celebrate the freedoms and pride of our great nation! ❤️🤍💙
