Muldowney Foundation

Muldowney Foundation The Muldowney Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those with brain-injuries. Instead, the problem was funding and affordability.

Like many other charitable endeavors, the Muldowney Foundation has sprung from the experiences of a single family that was thrust into unforeseen, wrenching circumstances. In this instance, one of the founding family members was the victim of a severe automobile accident. Surviving the accident was miraculous, but a traumatic brain injury was one of the many and perhaps most severe of the injuries

to be confronted on the long road to recovery. Part of the treatment process involved time at a summer camp for brain injury victims. Empty beds at the camp indicated the possibility of including more individuals who would benefit from time at the camp. But the issue was not a lack of possible attendees, as there were many in similar circumstances who sought to send a family member for the therapeutic summer sessions. So, with the simple observation that 'We should do something about that', the Muldowney Foundation was begun.

Brian has been cultivating a relationship between QLI and Chick-fil-A since the restaurant opened a few years ago. He is over the moon excited about making the final 3. I can only imagine how excited he will be when QLI, with your help, receives the grant! Please take a moment and vote for QLI! In true Chicago, Southside Irish Catholic fashion, I have voted a few times today. Tomorrow is another day for voting! Remember, “Vote early and Vote often!”

Dear Friends,
This year will be our last outing. The Muldowney Foundation, thru your generosity, has been able to help many small Mental Health non-profits over the last 14 years to the tune of a little over $300,000! We started the outing 14 years ago with a little encouragement from my good friend the late "Saint Bill Keane" and 88 UPSers, friends and family! Our goal was to fill the empty beds in the Brain Injury Summer Camp. We have accomplished that every year. We were able to support other non-profits that were recommended to us by our golfers and sponsors.
The Foundation will continue to function because, many of you continue to enjoy the gift of giving and the 100% tax deduction!
Thank you for your generosity over the years!
Mick,Dan,Pat,Tom, Charlie & most of all Brian!

Dear Friends of the Muldowney Foundation,
Thank you once again for your continued support. Last Year's event allowed us to distribute $25,000 to various Mental Health related organizations. You generosity has allowed many small mental health non-profits to share in $265,000 over the past 13 years. I hope you can join us this year! Remember golfing skills are not a requirement! We do not keep score! We have fun! In keeping with our Southside of Chicago heritage, everyone is a winner!
Thank You
Mick

The bills are all paid. The accounting is complete. Another year is behind us! That being said, through the generosity of countless friends and family, The Muldowney Family was able to distribute $20,000 to various Mental Health related organizations.
Thank you from all of the Muldowneys! May our patroness St Dymphna continue to intercede for all who endure Mental Health related issues!

How do I begin to tell a story of the little outing that grew! It is a story of Love, Friendship, Loyalty and Generosity.
When we started 13 years ago. ( with a little gentle prodding and a tremendous amount of support from my good friends the Late, Bill "Monsignor" Keane, our goal was to fill the Brain Injury summer camp. We did that the first year with a little left over.
Last evening through your generosity, we filled the camp and wrote checks to the following small non profits recommended by our golfers.
Park Lawn school
Equestrian Connection
St Mary of Providence HS
St. Coletta's Home
Quality Living Omaha
The Handicapped Development Center in Davenport.
Providence HS learning center
There will be a few families with special needs and hardships that we will help also.

I do not measure success by the $$$ raised. I measure it by the love shown.
Thank you to our sponsors, donors, golfers, the Providence HS volunteers, the Roscommon crew and the Lovely Ladies of Loyola!
God Bless all here!
