The self-righteous narcissist derives their narcissistic validation and supply by maintaining herself as a morally superior person. The self-righteous narcissist adheres to rigid rules and is judgmental of other people who do not adhere to her standards.

We used to have great music Orientals waterfront that played on well past 9 p.m. most weekends, making local business thrive by having folks wanting to stay a few nights and come back regularly rather than just a day trip. The few now rule Oriental and we have let it happen BUT we can step up and squash the self-righteous narcissists that are making undesirable bedroom communities out of once very prosperous towns.

Past mayors have let it happen, let's poke the current elected to step up and amend any and all ordinances hindering what made Oriental a destination to revisit over and over again.
