Parkview’s Summer School Junkyard Warriors are hard at work exploring the world of engineering through gadget dissection! By taking apart everyday machines, students are using the reverse engineering process to discover how different components work together and gain a deeper understanding of design and problem-solving.

We have a large number of district staff members who have children or grandchildren in 5th grade this year. As they prepare to transition to the Jr./Sr. High School, there are plenty of mixed emotions.

While we’re excited for their next chapter, our elementary staff will certainly miss having our sweet ones in the building each day. We’re proud of all they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

May was a busy and exciting month in our high school English classrooms! Students explored creative writing, analyzed vivid imagery in literature, and shared their own original children's books with elementary students. They also took advantage of the beautiful spring weather by enjoying some reading time in the courtyard.

Take a look at these snapshots of learning, creativity, and collaboration from the final month of the school year. Have a wonderful summer, Parkview!

Fifth graders wrapped up the school year with a fun and exciting egg drop challenge inspired by their final reading novel! In the story, the main character, Natalie, navigates many "breakable" things in her life—including an egg that becomes part of an egg drop competition.

To celebrate finishing the novel, students put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test by designing protective containers and participating in their own egg drop challenge. It was a great way to connect literature to a hands-on learning experience while ending the year with lots of fun and excitement!
