Happy Flag Day!

Today we celebrate the American flag and the ideals it represents—freedom, democracy, equality, and opportunity for all. Flag Day is a reminder that our nation is strongest when people engage in civic life, participate in their communities, and work together to build a more perfect union.

As Democrats, we honor the ongoing work of protecting our democratic institutions, expanding opportunity, and ensuring that every voice is heard.

May we all take a moment today to reflect on the values that unite us as Americans and recommit ourselves to the work of democracy.

A Perfect Summer Evening in Alpine

What a beautiful night at the Kester home in Alpine for the annual Democratic Women Summer Party! We enjoyed delicious food, great conversation, time with Democratic candidates, and the friendship of so many wonderful people in a truly stunning setting.

A special highlight of the evening was some fun cowboy poetry and music, which added a unique and memorable touch to the gathering.

Many thanks to Joel and Alane for their generous hospitality and for hosting this wonderful tradition. It was the perfect way to spend a relaxing summer evening with friends old and new.

This Memorial Day, the Democratic Women of Utah County pause to remember the lives, stories, and sacrifices of the men and women who gave everything in service to our country. Today is more than the start of summer — it is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who never made it home and for the families who continue to carry their memory forward. May we honor their legacy by caring for one another, strengthening our communities, and working toward a future rooted in dignity, freedom, and hope for all.
