Information on local Trans Day of Rememberance events in attached photos. At minimum, 354+ trans people have been lost to su***de or homocide since this point last year. The number is likely higher than what has been reported.

They all should still be with us. We need to stand up for our trans siblings but we should also honor their lives.

This service annually honors Trans people who were murdered or lost their lives to su***de.

Trans people often do not get honored as they are in their final rest, so allies and the LGBT community must do it for them.

Please join Ogden and Slc Trans Day of Remeberance events. Many places across the nation also have services you can attend or virtually attend, if you are not local to Utah. Being present in person shows solidarity, so if you can make it, it helps us all provide community support.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined an amicus brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court not to treat transgender status as a constitutionally protected class under the Equal Protection Clause. It is one of several organizations which joined.

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear the joined cases Little v. Hecox (No. 24-38) and West Virginia State Board of Education v. B.P.J. (No. 24-43) during its October 2025 term.

We oppose this. This is not the first time the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has taken targeted legal action against the LGBTQIA+ Community.

If it is safe to do so, talk about this with those you know about how this affects you and the people you love.

📣 A Utah bill, HB 521, could threaten access to transgender related medical care on Medicaid, such as hormone replacement therapy, and gender affirming surgeries, is currently in the State House. Our legislators need to hear from us, instead of only the people they think they represent. This targets Medicaid coverage Hormone Replacement Therapy and gender affirming surgeries.

📨Text and email them to say you're their constituent, give your zip code, then ask them to vote NO on H.B. 521 Transgender Medical Procedures Amendments.

We already have a bill that is working on stripping trans and intersex related healthcare for incarcerated Utahns. Stand up for healthcare.

🗣Suggested talking points include that mental health providers and medical providers know what's best for patients. Healthcare for trans people has been demonstrated to have positive mental health outcomes and by denying access to these services trans and intersex people could be going without life saving support. While this does not directly target intersex people, it does target trans and gender diverse people, if someone intersex receives HRT or affirming surgeries that seem to differ from what their birth certificate or other medical supporting documents say, that can very well impact intersex people.

If you feel comfortable and have a trans affirming medical provider, ask them to fight HB 252, the bill regarding a prison hrt ban for trans people, in Utah. If government controls who gets affirming hrt in prison, what will be the next target?

Standing up for incarcerated trans people is a way to help advocate for trans Utahns in general. Suggested Script is in comments, it's encouraged to customize it.

This discriminatory bill is still being considered in the Senate. Stand up for trans Utahns. Help us say No on HB 252.
