Clay High School student Cooper Kesling is taking the final steps toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Scouting, through his project with Troop 112!

To complete his Eagle Scout project, Cooper will be hosting a Blanket Workshop on August 8th and needs volunteers to help create tie blankets. Cooper’s goal is to make 75 blankets for Warm Hearts, a registered nonprofit that creates, collects, and distributes blankets to those facing hardship.

Please volunteer and support Cooper’s Eagle Scout journey! This is a great opportunity to give back, spread kindness, and help provide warmth to those in need. Good luck Cooper! 🦅

Students celebrated together at Operation Graduation last night and will walk across the stage tomorrow to receive their diplomas.

Graduation ceremony begins at 2:00 PM, with doors opening at 12:30 PM at the Glass City Center in downtown Toledo. 🦅

Appointment of new Clay High School Principal🦅

We are thrilled to announce, pending official Board of Education approval, Mr. Greg Sigg will be named the next Principal of Clay High School, beginning with the 2026–27 school year. Mr. Sigg is a familiar face to our students, staff, and families, having served with dedication as the Assistant Principal at Clay High School for the past eight years. His transition into the head principal role ensures continuity of leadership and a commitment to Clay High School.

Mr. Sigg is a passionate advocate for the core pillars that define the legacy of Clay High School. He is committed to honoring the school’s rich tradition and longstanding history of excellence while fostering a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment where every student feels like part of a family. He also values the strong connection between the school and the Oregon community, working to strengthen and celebrate the vital partnership that helps our students and families thrive.

As he steps into this new role, Mr. Sigg is focused on a well rounded approach to student success. He is a strong believer in advancing our High Academics, expanding opportunities within our premier Career Technology Programs, and supporting the wide variety of student activities that keep our Eagles engaged and thriving outside the classroom.

We're sharing information about the Oregon Schools Foundation (OSF) to help spread awareness about this non-profit that directly supports all students in our district, grades K-12.

OSF is dedicated to supporting students by bringing together parents, community members, and local businesses with a shared goal: enhancing educational opportunities.

Here is what Starr Elementary School Principal, Kevin Meyer, said about OSF.

"The Oregon Schools Foundation has been a tremendous supporter of Starr Elementary by connecting us to community partners. From helping with funding for our book vending machine and securing support for Apollo, our service dog, to providing grants that directly benefit our students, OSF continues to make a meaningful impact on our school community. We are excited about our most recent grant, which will provide ukuleles for students to use and further expand their music education opportunities."
