🏃‍♀️🎮 Another successful Oregon Trail Game 5K is in the books! 🎮🏃‍♂️

The Optimist Club of Oregon City was proud to support this fun and unique community event by providing refreshments and encouragement to participants throughout the morning. It was great to see so many runners, walkers, volunteers, and families enjoying the Oregon Trail-themed experience.

A special thank you to the Oregon City Schools Foundation for organizing another outstanding event that supports local students and educational programs. We also appreciate Grocery Outlet of Oregon City for helping support our refreshment station and contributing to the success of the day.

Congratulations to everyone who participated, and thank you to all who helped make the event possible!

🌟 Celebrating the Future — Youth Appreciation Awards 🌟

What an inspiring evening recognizing the incredible young people in our community! The Oregon City Optimists hosted a meaningful Youth Appreciation Awards ceremony on April 22, honoring students for their achievements, character, and contributions.

👏 A special shoutout to the schools represented:
• Alliance Charter Academy
• Clackamas Academy of Industrial Sciences
• Gardiner Middle School
• Oregon City High School
• Oregon City Service Learning Academy
• St. John the Apostle Catholic School
• Tumwata Middle School

Each of these students reflects the very best of their school and our community.

Thank you to Dr. Tim Cook, President of Clackamas Community College, for the opening remarks, and to everyone who helped make this event possible.

These moments remind us why we invest in our youth—because they truly are the future. 💙

🐻 Oregon City Teddy Bear Parade – Donations Needed! 🐻

The Oregon City Optimist Club is proud to support this year’s Teddy Bear Parade, and we’re inviting our community to come together for a great cause!

We are collecting:
🧸 Teddy Bears
🥫 Canned and non-perishable food

These donations will go directly to help children in crisis and families in need right here in our community.

📅 Parade Day: May 2nd
🕥 Time: 10:30 AM
📍 Route: Starts at Main & 10th, ending at Clackamette Park

This year’s parade also benefits Clackamas Women’s Services—making your contribution even more meaningful.

West Linn / Oregon City Rivalry Breakfast – Tuesday, October 28!

Join us for one of our community’s favorite traditions — the annual Senior Football Breakfast, hosted by the Oregon City Optimist Club at the Oregon City Elks Lodge.

The Optimists have proudly carried this tradition since 1989, celebrating teamwork and community spirit as we honor senior athletes, cheerleaders, coaches, and school leaders from both Oregon City and West Linn.

This year’s program features two special guest speakers:

⭐ Tim Cook, President of Clackamas Community College
⭐ Jon Eagle, West Linn Head Coach (in his final season)

📅 Date: Tuesday, October 28
🕡 Time: 6:30 a.m.
📍 Location: Oregon City Elks Lodge
💵 Public Admission: $13

(Players, cheer squads, and school staff are covered by the Club.)
