Happy Loving Day! Clerk McMullen and staff celebrated by officiating weddings for eleven couples in the Office of the Clerk. Oregon City Mayor Denyse McGriff and Milwaukie Mayor Lisa Batey volunteered as official witnesses and Herbst Hilltop Florist made a generous donation of single stem flowers for the couples and their guests. We officiated weddings today in English, Spanish, and Ukrainian.

Loving Day is celebrated each June 12, commemorating the 1967 US Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virginia which struck down laws banning in*******al marriage nationwide.

Clerk McMullen Certifies May 19, 2026 Primary Election

On Wednesday, June 10, Clerk Catherine McMullen certified the May 19, 2026 Primary Election to the Oregon Secretary of State. Final official election results can be accessed online at clackamas.us/elections.

Final voter turnout reached 44.87% with 142,908 ballots cast in the May 19, 2026 Primary Election. Clackamas County voters turned out in record numbers, ending with a higher turnout than any other gubernatorial primary election since Oregonians voted to expand Vote-by-Mail to all elections in 1998.

The Track Your Ballot service continues to be popular with nearly 3,000 additional voters signing up to receive ballot status alerts via text, phone, or email for each election. Clackamas County voters can sign up before the next election at clackamas.us/elections/track-your-ballot.

On June 11, pursuant to ORS 258.280(2)(a) the Secretary of State issued a directive requiring a full recount of votes cast for the office of the Judge of the Circuit Court, 5th District, Position 13. The automatic recount is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15 at the Clackamas County Clerk and Elections office. Observation hours for the process are available on the May 19, 2026 Primary Election website.

The next county-wide election will be the November 3, 2026 General Election. To learn more about voting and elections in Clackamas County, visit clackamas.us/elections.

Clerk and Elections staff were happy to table at the Lake Oswego Pride community event last weekend! 🌈

Thank you to LO for Love, the City of Lake Oswego and everyone who helped make it such a welcoming and positive celebration. It was wonderful to connect with community members and celebrate the diversity that makes our county strong. We had lots of questions about passports, marriage licenses, and voter information.
