⚠️ Scam Alert – Amazon Gift Card Fraud (Hicksville, NY Number)

There are reports of scammers calling from a Hicksville, NY number (516-653-8562) claiming:

You should buy an Amazon gift card

They will give you a large sum of money in return

You must call them back and provide the gift card number
OR

Go to a grocery store, purchase an Amazon card, and meet them in person to exchange it for cash

🚨 This is a scam.

Legitimate businesses, government agencies, and prize organizations will never:

Ask you to pay fees with gift cards

Ask for gift card numbers over the phone

Promise large sums of money in exchange for gift cards

Arrange in-person cash swaps for gift cards

What to Do

Do NOT purchase the gift card

Do NOT share any codes or personal information

Hang up immediately

Block the number

If you’ve already purchased a card but haven’t shared the code, contact Amazon customer service immediately to report it.

Please share this warning with family and friends — especially seniors and anyone who may be vulnerable to phone scams. Staying informed helps protect everyone.

🚨 SCAM ALERT: MEDICAL DEVICE PHONE CALLS 🚨

If you receive a phone call from someone claiming they are calling to provide a medical device that your doctor supposedly ordered — be cautious.

Scammers are contacting people and asking for personal information such as:

-Social Security number
-Home address
-Payment details

They often request this information before even telling you what kind of medical device it is.

⚠️ Do NOT give out any personal or financial information.
If you have questions about medical equipment or prescriptions, contact your healthcare provider directly using the official phone number on their website or on your insurance card.
