Trunk Or Treat is TONIGHT!!!!
Come out and check out all of the cool trunks this year! Stu Gov, Media, AVID all will have a trunk... and they have a friendly competition of whose trunk is the best. So, we will let you decide!

The dance is also tonight. Students should buy their ticket at lunch in the MP Room. The cost is $5. If students buy at the door, the cost increases to $7. Stu Gov will be hosting a free haunted house, a costume contest, and $2 Polaroid Photos!!! Super fun!

It'll be a night of thrills and chills! See you there!

The Great American Schools Fundraiser has added one final turn in day on Tuesday, October 18th. Turn in any final order before school starts in the MP Room.

On Wednesday, we welcome back guest speaker, Brodie Kaster, for Bully Prevention Awareness Month. Student government has purchased special wristbands for all students in correlation with Brodie'e message this year!

Friday, we have our Harvest Dance from 6-8 pm for students only. Tickets go on sale on Monday. They are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Student Government will have a free haunted house!!! Photos will also be available for purchase for $2 each. Gotta love Polaroids!

PTSO will once again host Trunk-or-Treat from 4-6 on the basketball blacktop behind the school. This will be a fun event for everyone!

The Emojis have arrived!
Today our school kicked off its first MAJOR fundraising event with Great American Schools! Students received packets with information for ordering Magazines, Cookie Dough (yes there is Gluten Free!), and Cinnabon! Yummy!

Tomorrow students should turn in 7 postcards to receive their lanyard and the bonus "chocolate ice cream swirl" emoji! This is the only opportunity to receive this exclusive emoji!

The first day to turn in orders is this Friday before school in the MP Room! As a special turn -in Bonus for day 1, any student who turns in 15 orders will go on the Limo Lunch to In-in-Out! Students can still earn the limo lunch after Friday, but they will need 20 orders.

This fundraiser will help pay for special guest speakers to come to our school, activities for Red Ribbon Week, and new updates to our school library!

Don't forget that we are hosting our final fundraising event this evening at Leatherby's. All proceeds help pay for the 8th Grade Dance. This is our gift to our graduating 8th graders and the dance is completely FREE!
So, get some scrumptious delicacies at Leatherby's!

We are excited to be hosting our second annual Cyber Safety Night Thursday, March 3 from 6 - 7 p.m. Two sheriff officers will be at our school to inform parents and their students about the risk of various social media platforms followed by a question and answer session. Please call Pasteur at 916-971-7891 if you would like to attend this important and informative night.

Our annual Canned Food Drive has two more weeks to go! ALL of your donations directly impact the people of Orangevale as all proceeds go to the Orangevale Food Bank!

We have 3 school-wide goals this year!

1200 Items = Every person at school gets a cookie

2000 Items = School Wide Free Dress Day

3000 Items = Mrs. Deal will spray ALL Of her hair PINK and where it around campus ALL DAY &&&&&&&&&&&&&& Mr. Pankratz will get a whipped cream toupee  !!! A few teachers will also jump on board with a few surprises of their own!

Did you know that you don't have to neatly cut off Box Tops from your products at home? As long as the image is present, we can trim the rest off for you! Just rip the corner off your cereal boxes, the labels off your soup cans, the sides of your Ziploc Bag box!

PTSO will be finalizing the first collection on October 16th.
The Top Advisory will win a Free Dress Day!
The Top 5 students school-wide will win some fabulous prizes (that families might want to actually claim as theirs... ahem, Starbucks, wink, wink).

So, just turn in those Box Tops clearly labeled in a bag or envelope with your child's name and Advisory Teacher!

Thank you for being PAWSitively on time to school in September! Our top 3 advisory classes for the "DONUT be late to School" Attendance Awareness Competition are Mrs. Crutchfield's, Mrs. Feldman's, and Mr. Duncan's Advisory Classes! Keep up the great work kids (and of course families).

September is Attendance Awareness Month! Our school is participating in the District's Attendance Awareness Poster Competition. One winner from Pasteur will be submitted to the district to represent our school!!!
In addition to get our students prepped for upcoming attendance incentive days, we will be hosting an attendance competition during Advisory beginning next week! The Top 3 Advisory classes with the LEAST amount of tardies and absences during the two-week period will be munching down on Donuts* on September 30th. num num! (*If there are any special requests due to food sensitivities or allergies, accommodations will be made for those students who can not eat donuts... let your Stu Gov rep know if your class wins!)
Miss School... Miss out!

Save those Box Tops and send them in to school! Be sure to get credit towards your grand total by turning your Box Tops in with a bag or envelope with your name and advisory teacher. Go through your cupboards, your grandma's cupboards, your neighbor's cupboards! MONEY for our school is just sitting on those shelves! Don't literally (well, almost) throw money away!
