The Edisto Health Coalition seeks to provide a forum for identified segments of the community to learn about, engage in, and promote substance abuse prevention activities in the tri-county region of Orangeburg, Bamberg,

and Calhoun counties. Coalition members are asked to share ideas, identify resources, provide access to special populations, assist in data collection, and collaborate with the prevention department of the Tri-County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, as well as, each other. Vision:
The Edisto Health Coalition envisions a community where all sectors work together to promote the health and well-being of children and families by decreasing risk factors that foster substance use and abuse. Prevention:
The Edisto Health Coalition supports the State’s definition of prevention as the use of evidence-based approaches to create or enhance environmental conditions within communities, families, schools, and workplaces that protect individuals from substance abuse and that help them develop personal decision-making skills to reduce the risk of ATOD-related problems. Goal:
