Good afternoon Town of Orange FB friends.

After all of the planning, unfortunately, the Orange Memorial Day Parade Committee is cancelling the parade due to the inclement weather.
Many ask why we do not have a rain date . It is simply, because all the bands are booked for other parades.
The ceremony honoring our veterans will still take place at 10:30 in the gym at High Plains Community Center.

This has been a busy week in our community! The basketball courts located at High Plains Community got a massive upgrade this week. The court surfaces were replaced after several years of use. We anticipate they will be enjoyed by many during the summer months ahead.

🚧 Big safety upgrades are underway in the Town of Orange! 🚧

The Orange Highway Department is replacing outdated wooden post and guidewire guardrails with stronger, safer metal guardrails throughout town thanks to a $450,000 grant from the State of Connecticut. 👏

Work began in May and will continue throughout the summer. A big thank you to Total Fence of New Haven and our Highway Department team for helping keep the project moving safely and efficiently! 🚜🦺

🏊‍♂️ Pool Update 🏊‍♀️

The repair project is on schedule, and grant funding was used to cover the cost of the repairs. Silktown Roofing is working hard to get the job done, and we’re excited to share that the pool is scheduled to reopen on May 15!
