Who's watching us? The City has invested heavily in FLOCK surveillance cameras, but have we done the work necessary to protect people's privacy and ensure this emerging technology doesn't violate our rights? We need to ask the hard questions and work with PD to strengthen protections for residents.

Good public policy means tackling hard community issues like illicit massage parlors. A fight I have never shied away from. Until every one of these businesses is either compliant, licensed, or closed, we must enforce our ordinances to protect those playing by the rules.

Absolutely amazing visit to Orange’s Sister City, Queretaro, MX. A beautiful city of 1.3M people where a private nonprofit department with six fire stations serve everything from the urban core to steep wilderness terrain. The partnership was built by former Orange Mayor Jess Perez and there is a lot to learn!

Treats in the Street is one of our Orange traditions I'm so proud to have helped save. Working with my friend , we raised funds, walked business to business, and ensured that the children of Orange had an amazing event when the City could no longer fund this amazing event. Problem-solving and 'can do' attitude is exactly what we need more of at City Hall!
