2019 Kaoud Toy Drive for the Yale Toy Closet

Annual Toy Drive held at Kaoud Rugs of Orange, & Guilford, and Material Girls of Orange. This year the toy closet celebrates 23 years. Thanks!

The Kaoud Toy Drive is an annual toy drive by our Family, and at our businesses, we are proud to be celebrating our 10th year of our toy drive. We have previously started collecting during the Holiday season each year. This year we are trying to get a head start to the Holiday season, and would like to collect year round. Kaoud Toy Drive benefits the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital Toy Closet program. The Toy Closet celebrates over 20 years, and was started by Ann Nyberg. The Toy Closet program is a year-round program which provides toys for patients when they leave the hospital, are going through treatments, or after emergency visits, as well as providing holiday presents for the patients. Many people fail to see that the Toy Closet program is a year-round program, NOT just a holiday season program. That being said, we are hoping to collect as many toys as possible to donate to the program. Please call with any questions, and thank you for your support. Frequently asked questions:

How can I donate a toy? To donate a toy, you can drop it off at either Kaoud Rugs of Orange,or Guilford. Material Girls of Orange, or any other designated drop-off points which we will mention on this page, where you will find a toy drive drop-off box.(No plush or stuffed animals)

When does the toy drive end? We hope to continue to collect year round, instead of the just the Holiday season. What are some donation suggestions? A complete list of donation suggestions can be found at the Toy Closet website: http://www.ynhh.org/community-health/toy_closets_program.aspx
