There's been a lot of discussion on social media about e-bikes, and for good reason. We need parents' help in getting ahead of a tragedy that will inevitably occur if we continue to see the behaviors some riders display on our roadways. Please monitor your kids' use of these bikes, FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE ROAD, and have them wear their helmets. The classifications of the bikes can be confusing, but common sense is not. Help us prevent crashes and injuries by holding your child accountable before we have to, and certainly before we have to respond to a preventable accident scene.

Orange Police Honor Guard, along with Chief Gagne and Assistant Chief Martins, were proud to be a part of the Memorial Day ceremony this year. Unfortunately the rain changed the plans, but it did not change the honor and respect our town holds for the memory of those who sacrificed under the flag of our nation. 🇺🇸

05/23/2026

Unfortunately the parade is cancelled tomorrow but the ceremony will still take place at 10:30 am inside High Plains Community Center gymnasium.

Sergeant Frank Koshes, or as we know him, “Uncle Frank,” came to us about 8 years ago after retiring from Waterbury PD as the acting Asst. Deputy Chief. This weekend he had a family celebration in West Hartford with the La Tavola Pizza Truck, so the West Hartford and Orange Police both got to cap off Police Week with some delicious pies! Chief Vern Riddick of West Hartford PD and Uncle Frank worked together in Waterbury for over 20 years.
Thank you La Tavola and Sergeant Koshes! 😋
