Good afternoon. Starting Tuesday, 9/8/26, Route 5 will be picking up and dropping off Terrace Vines Apartments students. Pick up time will be 6:35 am for Primary and 7:12 am for Secondary, Please remember your students must be at their designated pickup locations 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time. Thank you and have a great extended weekend!

Good evening. There will be a sub driver on Route 20 tomorrow, 9/4/26. Please make sure all students are at their designated pick up locations to ensure they are picked up by the sub driver in the morning. Please be patient as the driver will be navigating as efficiently as possible through this route. We appreciate your patience in this situation.

Please make sure that you are at your students designated pick up location for their early release time if your students falls under the age of needing their guardian present to be released from the bus. Say hello to our 2026-2027 LCM Transportation staff 👋

LCM Transportation employees returned for our school year in full force! Their year started with Convocation and moved straight into extensive trainings.
Trainings included were our annual Bus Driver Safety Training from our LCM Chief of Police, Mike Hennigan; our annual Department Employee Training with , Director of Transportation Georgia Nichols and Trainer, Sherri Ellis; our annual CPI Training with Director of Special Education, Buffy Knight and Guest speaker, Holli Fregia; Region V SPED Safety Training with Joe Reese; and our annual Safety on the Move/Stop the Bleed training with our Director of Health Services, Kelly Meadows and Acadiana. We also annually attend Orientation/Meet the Teacher each year. They also met to focus on Routes for their new year with several hours of planning and also driving these routes in advance of our first day of the school year.
We cannot say enough how thankful we are for all of our Transportation Employees. These individuals start their days as early as 4 am and don’t end their typical days until around 6 pm. We are so grateful for their hard work and perseverance. It takes a special person to do what they do!
