Congressman Byron Donalds has chosen State Senator Bryan Avila as his running mate for the Republican ticket for Governor/Lt. Governor of Florida.

Senator Avila came to Grumpy's in Middleburg this morning. We went to meet, speak to, and listen to him.

He highlighted the differences between the Republican vision and the Democrats' vision for Florida.

LO**TA SMOAK, candidate for Clay County Commissioner District 2, along with several clay county officials were also in attendance.

PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE REPUBLICAN! Take nothing for granted.

David Jolly can’t be trusted.

He’s been a member of four different political parties in the last eight years. Now he’s running to raise your taxes, push radical gender ideology in our schools, and drive costs even higher.

Don’t fall for Jolly’s political games.

It was a beautiful morning for the Clay County 9/11 memorial.

Members of the Clay County Fire Dept and Sheriff's office paraded thru downtown Green Cove Springs to Spring Park.

Gov. Ron DeSantis was the keynote speaker.

The names of all first responders who lost their lives that day, over 400, were read aloud.

Congressman Aaron Bean was the first to read names. Other local elected officials took turns reading the names.

The ceremony concluded with the playing of Taps, and bagpipes played Amazing Grace.

Finally, the Fire Dept performed the 5 bells tradition.

Never forget!

Remembering 9/11
Anastasia Long
25 years ago on 9/11 I was working in Washington DC at WMATA known as METRO. Our main office was located in the corner of 5th street and E NW. Our office (Engineering) was located on 5th floor together with METRO Police, Rail Maintenance Management, and other management offices . Morning meeting as usual, when one of the colleagues who had a small TV on his office announced that a plain heat the tower in NY. When we were talking about the incident as an accident, the second plain flew into the second tower. At that point we all realized that we were under terrorist attack.
When the Pentagon was attacked everything changed. Now it was the responsibility of METRO to act fast to move the people out of DC. The Pentagon subway station was close and a massive operation of busses and subway train stated immediately. METRO management and all the people who worked there that day showed there skills and devotion to this country. That day Republican, Democrats, Independents, any color, any religion were united under our flag and saying “God Bless America “. When we left the office after midnight I 95 was empty and DC was dark, no cars, no plain, no lights.
Never forget 9/11
