Stay, Modify, or Move?
One of the most important conversations families can have as parents get older isn't necessarily about selling the house.
It's about asking:
“Will this home still work well for you 5, 10 or even 15 years from now?”
Maybe the answer is absolutely yes.
Perhaps a few changes—like a safer bathroom, fewer steps, better lighting, or some help with maintenance—could make the home work beautifully for years.
Or maybe the house that was perfect while raising a family has become more house, yard and stairs than you really want.
That's when a smaller home, single-level property, condo, or moving closer to family might make life simpler.
The important thing is that these conversations happen before a crisis forces the decision.
Aging gracefully isn't about giving something up.
Sometimes it's about designing the next chapter of life intentionally.
I'm curious…
If staying in your current home eventually became difficult, which would you prefer?
A) Modify the home and stay
B) Move to a smaller or single-level home
C) Stay and bring in additional help
D) I haven't really thought about it yet
