For The Love of Bees

For The Love of Bees Welcome to "For The Love of Bees", my little Facebook forum for my new business. Be thankful for bees!

For The Love of Bees is about my love of bees - - and why we should all take an interest in helping protect and save our important little pollinators. It is a place where I can share beekeeping articles and news, as well as pictures of my adventures with beekeeping. There is never a dull moment with harvesting and extracting honey, and I'm having so much fun teaching others as well. I'll be posting harvest dates, booth locations, current honey pricing, and so much more!

Find a swarm on your property? PLEASE don't panic! They will probably leave on their own within a day or two. If not, please call a beekeeper for advice or removal. This is totally natural and is how bees work in nature.

My newest hive! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ Noticed yesterday that a small cluster of bees had set up their home in an old hivebox I'd set aside for clearing. Since there were so few bees, I knew they'd have a better chance of making it in a half-sized hive box, called a NUC (short for nucleus). These girls are so gentle I didn't even suit up. Wore just a veil to cover my face, and started with gloves which I soon removed! Hope the video turned out! Enjoy!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
