Spotlight Member of the Week: Euna DuBose
This week, we are proud to spotlight one of our longtime members, Euna DuBose!
Euna has been a member of the Opp Adult Activity Center for over 9 years and has become a familiar face and friend to many. Her favorite activity at the center is our Exercise Class, where she enjoys staying active and spending time with fellow members.
What Euna loves most about the Activity Center is the people. She enjoys sitting around, fellowshipping, sharing stories, and building friendships with others. The relationships she has made through the center are what keep her coming back year after year.
Outside of the center, Euna enjoys watching movies, cooking for her family, and going out to eat on Friday nights. She also shared that she used to love quilting and spent many years creating beautiful quilts.
Something many people may not know about Euna is that she married at just 16 years old in 1950. By the age of 21, she was already the proud mother of four children. Today, her family has grown to include 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Throughout her career, Euna worked at a local sewing factory. She eventually moved into a supervisory role, and during the final years before retirement, she specialized in repair work. Her strong work ethic is evident in the fact that she continued working until she was 82 years old, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects her dedication and determination.
Euna's warm personality and love for family and friends make her a wonderful part of our Activity Center family. We are thankful for her continued involvement and the joy she brings to those around her.
