🚧 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT – Meghan Drive Culvert Replacement Project 🚧
Attention residents! The Ward One Drainage District will be conducting a culvert replacement project on Meghan Drive, located approximately 0.85 miles east of the intersection of LA Hwy 182 and Meghan Drive.
📅 Project Dates: Friday, February 20, 2025 – Tuesday, February 24, 2025
⏱️ We anticipate completing the work sooner, but the full 5-day window has been reserved in the event of any delays.
🔧 What's happening?
Three existing 18" metal pipes will be replaced with a single 36" reinforced concrete pipe arch (RCPA), along with asphalt road and erosion repairs.
🚗 Traffic Impact:
One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times for local traffic only. Temporary road closure signage will be posted along Meghan Drive for the duration of the project. This work will affect approximately 18 residents at the east end of Meghan Drive.

Good telephone communication skills
Ability to handle stressful situations and multi-task operations
Willingness and ability to work days, nights, weekends, and 12-hour shift work including Overtime/Holidays
Reliable attendance record
Capable of passing drug screen and background check
Valid driver's license

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office, Civil Offices and Substations will be closed tomorrow, January 26, 2026, due to weather and road conditions.

All offices and courts located inside the St. Landry Parish Courthouse will be open tomorrow, Monday, January 26, except for the Registrar of Voters office.

Please plan accordingly if you need to visit the courthouse.

🚨 St. Landry Parish Closure Notice 🚨

Due to extreme winter conditions, and for the safety of our teams and community - St. Landry Parish Solid Waste has decided to close the landfill, therefore Bayou State will be unable to run routes and will be CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, January 26th.

🗑 Waste Collection Update:
All waste collection will be one day behind this week.
• Thursday & Friday routes will both be serviced on Friday.
