COURTHOUSE MASK MANDATE RELATIVE TO
COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY

Due to the recent increased positivity rate of COVID-19 cases, including among some vaccinated individuals, masks are now required of anyone entering the St. Landry Parish Courthouse and will be required to be worn in all common areas of the courthouse, all courtrooms, Hearing Officer conferences, or other judicial offices in the 27th Judicial District Court, effective immediately. Employees within the St. Landry Parish Courthouse, upon reaching their offices and provided they can maintain social distancing within said office, are free to remove their masks. This is a temporary measure pending a decline in the COVID case numbers, but will remain in effect until further orders of this Court.

Grand Jury selection scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2020 is going forward. However, the location has changed. All prospective jurors are to report to the Division "C" courtroom located on the second floor of the Courthouse instead of the court annex.
