Tonight’s training was in-house—focusing on engine company operations!

Crews worked to ensure their competency and familiarity with the stretching of a charged hose line and doing so in full turnout gear while on air. A charged line was stretched through the bay and out to the back patio area. Many twists and turns made our firefighters work on their communication and fundamental firefighting skills.

Training this week was in-house and covered the basics of the SCBA!

Crews were reminded of the importance of knowing one of the most important pieces of equipment we carry—both inside and out.

Our fire and medical members then split and carried out several drills and scenarios to ensure their competency and confidence in their skills!

Always training, always learning!

In case you were wondering—some big things are happening at the 2 hall this week!

Crews are currently working on pouring concrete for the addition of a third bay to our station!

Our current apparatus bay houses three frontline units—Engine 42, Tanker 52, and Medical 92. As our bay is technically meant to house two apparatus, this will be a huge benefit to our crews as it allows us to have quicker response times.

We are so thankful for the hard work being put into our company and community!

Stay tuned for updates as we have them! 🔥
