Hard work, perseverance, and a passion for lifelong learning have led to an incredible accomplishment for one of our Ontario educators. 🎓

Ontario Middle School seventh-grade ELA teacher Kellie Ritchey has officially earned her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Special Education from Liberty University and is now officially Dr. Kellie Ritchey!

This incredible accomplishment reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and a deep commitment to both education and her students. Even while continuing to pour into the lives of our Warriors every day, Dr. Ritchey remained committed to growing professionally and personally through lifelong learning.

We are incredibly proud of Dr. Ritchey and the example she sets for our students through her dedication, determination, and love for learning. Please join us in celebrating this well-deserved achievement and congratulating her on this exciting new chapter! 👏

📝 Despite having the lowest per-student revenue and the lowest per-student expenditures in Richland County, Ontario Local Schools earned the highest Performance Index score in the county at 95.2.

The Ohio Performance Index measures how well students perform on state assessments across all achievement levels, reflecting the overall strength of student academic performance. Throughout Richland County, there is a 28-point range in Performance Index scores, with Ontario at the top of the county’s range. 📊

Ontario’s results reflect the district’s commitment to academic excellence, strong instruction, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.

Graduation night was filled with proud smiles, happy tears, heartfelt hugs, and unforgettable memories as the Ontario High School Class of 2026 officially turned the page to a brand new chapter. 🎓

As they walked across the stage and accepted their diplomas, they carried with them the memories of every lesson learned, every challenge overcome, every friendship built, and every moment that shaped their journey.

Adventure, discovery, and a whole lot of excitement made for an unforgettable day at Lowe-Volk Park! 🌿

Our first graders spent the day exploring nature hands-on during their field trip, learning more about the world around them through curiosity and discovery.

From taking a nature walk through the trails to catching and observing creatures in the wetlands, students embraced every moment like true scientists. 🐢 🔍

The fun continued indoors, where students had the opportunity to see and even touch animals like snakes, turtles, and tarantulas! 🕷️ 🐍

And of course, one of the best parts of any field trip… lunch together with classmates! 🍎 😊

Graduation is more than a ceremony. It’s the culmination of years filled with learning, growth, friendships, challenges, victories, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Today, we celebrate a class that has left its mark on Ontario Local Schools in countless ways. You’ve filled our classrooms, stages, fields, hallways, and hearts with energy, talent, leadership, and pride.
