The Fire Departments of Wayne Central are once again proud to offer the "Ride to School in a Fire Truck" program for students in Wayne Primary, Wayne Elementary, and TC Armstrong schools. Simply follow the link below to do the Homework assignment from FFBob to enter. (4) Rides are awarded... one to each school and one to the school with the most participation (the Superintendents Ride).
If you have (or know) a student at these Wayne Central Schools please encourage them to participate... it's a Tradition that the FDWC are proud to continue. Deadline for entries is Thursday, October 1st by 3:00PM.

This morning, members of the Ontario Fire Company had the privilege of helping the Class of 2027 capture their class photo. 🚒📸

As we helped set up and get everyone into place, we were treated to a beautiful sunrise over the fields. It was one of those quiet moments that makes you stop for a second and take it all in.

But on this September 11th, that sunrise also carried a little more meaning.

25 years ago today, our country woke up to a very different morning. Thousands of lives were changed forever, and among those who answered the call were firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other first responders who ran toward the danger while others were running away.

Standing there this morning, watching the sun come up while surrounded by the next generation, was a powerful reminder of why we continue to serve and why it is so important to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We are proud to have been part of the Class of 2027’s photo this morning, and even prouder to be part of a community that continues to remember, honor, and serve.

Tonight, Ontario firefighters went down to the Wayne Central School District , home of the Eagles, to cheer on the home football team under the Friday night lights!

Thank you to the community members that stopped by to say hi, and thank you to our dedicated volunteers that brought Engine 57 over to make some noise!

Ontario Fire Company would like to send a huge thank you to Macedon Lowe's Home Improvement for their generous donation of bottled water!

Our firefighters went through quite a bit of water staying hydrated while responding to last night’s storm related calls, along with the other calls we handled throughout the night. Your donation will help us replenish our supply and keep our members hydrated for the next round of calls.

From all of us at Ontario Fire Company, thank you, Macedon Lowe’s, for supporting our firefighters and our community!

Ontario Firefighters headed down to Palmyra to assist the Palmyra Fire Department and East Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. with the Wayne County Fair’s Demolition Derby! 🚗💥

It was great working alongside departments we don’t normally get the chance to work with. Different departments, same mission, and a front row seat to watching cars get absolutely destroyed!

Thank you to Palmyra and East Palmyra for inviting us to be part of the event. We had a great time helping out!

The Ontario Fire Company is proud to announce the release of our commemorative challenge coin, honoring the nearly 31 years of dedicated service provided by our original Truck 2 to the Town of Ontario and our neighboring communities, while also celebrating the arrival of our new Truck 2.

Each member of the Ontario Fire Company will receive one of these coins, and we have also ordered a limited number of extras to make available for purchase by the public.

Every dollar raised from the sale of these coins goes directly back to supporting the Ontario Fire Company.. If this first release is successful, we hope to create additional commemorative coins in the future featuring our other apparatus and fire stations.

Coin Details:
🚒 2.25 inches in diameter
🚒 One side features our original Truck 2
🚒 The other side features our new Truck 2
🚒 $20 each

For our initial release, coins will be sold locally. Purchasers will be able to pick up their coins, or we will announce designated dates and times when they can stop by the fire station for pickup. Those details will be shared on our page soon.
We hope to offer shipping in the future for an additional cost.

The Ontario Fire Company was proud to assist our neighbors in Walworth this evening by raising the American flag for parade participants to march and drive beneath as they kicked off the festivities.

It was a beautiful evening, a great turnout, and an honor to help with a tradition that brings the community together. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the parade—we’re always happy to lend a hand (or a ladder)! 🇺🇸
