Friends of the Ontario Community Library, Inc. (FoL) will be joining a national celebration of libraries during National Friends of the Library Week, October 20-26. Patrons are invited to stop by the library for a small token of appreciation, to enter a raffle for a gift certificate from the Four Rivers Cultural Center gift shop, and to receive information on how to become a Friend of the Library. FoL sponsor special activities at the library, provide financial support for upgrades such as carpeting and computers, purchase books and other resource material, and fund the Foundation Center, an on-line grant search program.

Friends of the Library is sponsoring a coat drive for the children and families served at the TV Children's Relief Nursery. For each coat delivered to the Ontario Community Library the person donating will recieve a raffle ticket. The winning ticket will be drawn at the American Girl party on March 2 but the winner does not need to be present to win. The prize is a really cute set of furniture for any doll the approximate size of the American Girl dolls. The furniture, worth about $150, was donated by the Community Library Board and is currently on display at the library. Please help us pass the word!
