🇺🇸 Honoring Our Fallen Heroes This Memorial Day 🇺🇸
Today, the National Latino Peace Officers Association (NLPOA) pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Among those heroes are countless Latino service members who fought with unwavering courage, dedication, and honor to protect the freedoms we enjoy today. Their legacy is woven into the fabric of our nation's history, and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
As law enforcement professionals, we understand the profound weight of the call to serve and protect. Today, we stand in solidarity with the families of our fallen service members, offering our deepest gratitude and respect.
Join us today in taking a moment of silence to remember their courage and honor their memory.
May we live our lives worthy of their incredible sacrifice.

🌟 BIG NEWS FROM THE NLPOA DALLAS COUNTY CHAPTER! 🌟
From a small foundation laid by dedicated Dallas Sheriff’s Department members back in 1993, to officially establishing our independent Dallas County Chapter in 2010, our journey has been defined by unity, service, and growth.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that we have grown to 447 paid members and are stronger than ever!

🗳 A Historic Election
As our chapter continues to expand alongside amazing partners like the Dallas County
Constables, this election cycle marked a major milestone for us. For the first time in our history,
multiple highly qualified candidates stepped forward to run for the elected Board, leading to an overwhelming turnout and unprecedented member participation.

This incredible involvement is a testament to the pride, commitment, and confidence our
members have in the future of our organization!

🎉 Introducing the 2026 – 2028 Executive Board 🎉
Please join us in congratulating our newly elected leadership team who will carry our mission
forward:

●President: Sgt. Michael Valladarez
●1st VP: Captain David Guerra
●2nd VP: Constable Michael Orozco
●DSO Representative: Felicia Cruz
●Secretary: Luci Leija
●Treasurer: Miguel Hernandez
●Historian: Sulema Walden
● Founder: Michael Ramirez

🙏 With Gratitude
A massive thank you to all of our past and current Board members for their immense sacrifices,
dedication, and leadership. We also extend our deepest appreciation to our founders,
community partners, and every single member whose belief in our mission allows us to support
Latino law enforcement professionals and bridge the gap with the communities we proudly
serve through scholarships, mentorship, and service initiatives.

Here’s to a historic, successful, and impactful term ahead!
