Hi Ontario Riders! 🚌

We’ve noticed an increase in requests for stops at locations that aren’t designated bus stops, so we wanted to share a quick clarification.

Our Ontario City Route operates as a fixed route service, which means drivers may only stop at marked bus stops along the route.

We know this can be confusing because the Fruitland bus, operated by Treasure Valley Transit, is a separate service and does allow limited off-route stops and deviated service.

For riders whose disability prevents them from accessing a fixed route service, Paratransit may be a better option. Paratransit is a door-to-door service for eligible individuals.

We are excited to share that intercity bus service is returning to our region. Northwestern Stage Lines has been selected by ODOT to provide new eastbound and westbound daily stops in Boardman, creating direct connections with major communities across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Service is expected to begin around December 15.

This new route will make regional travel easier and more accessible, strengthening connections for residents, visitors, and businesses alike. We’re grateful to see this important service coming to our area and look forward to the benefits it will bring.
