Maguire Family Wildlife Sanctuary This 47-acre preserve was donated to Genesee
Land Trust in 2015 by Margaret Eleanor
Maguire Diamond and is dedicated to her family.

Genesee Land Trust preserves and protects natural lands and waterways that enhance the quality of life in the Greater Rochester region - providing wildlife habitat, locally grown food, and connections to nature. The Sanctuary provides public benefit by protecting
natural habitat and natural communities in a
mosaic of protected lands less than 2 miles from
Lake Ontario within an area identified as

important for migratory birds. The property
protects a portion of Bear Creek and a tributary
to Bear Creek which both drain to Lake Ontario. The sanctuary is open every day from dawn until dusk
