UPDATE
We have what I think the vast majority of the Wamplers Lake Community will find to be great news!
The two lakefront parcels of the Judson Collins property have been purchased by a couple from the region for the purpose of developing the property into a private lake home for their family.
Let's please welcome Mark & Wendy Olinyk to the Wamplers Lake Community! Mark and Wendy, the owners of Harvest Solar, headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, are parents and grandparents and they look forward to becoming members of the Wamplers Lake Community for all of the same reasons that we cherish this lake - friendly neighbors, the beauty, the serenity, the wildlife, and safe boating and recreation on one of Michigan's true gems.
There are many in the Wamplers Lake Community who have fond memories as kids attending summer camp at the Judson Collins Methodist Camp, and many of us have wandered through this historic property over the past year; however, now that the property sale has closed, and Mark and Wendy move forward with their plans, let's please keep in mind that the property is now in private hands, and treat the Olinyk's with the same respect that we extend to all private homeowners.
The board members of The Society for the Preservation of Wamplers Lake wish to thank all of you in the Wamplers Lake Community who have supported the effort this past year to defeat the planned high-density development on Wamplers Lake. Your involvement with the petitions, donations, yards signs and other efforts have all been instrumental in maintaining the Wamplers Lake experience enjoyed by generations of home owners, seasonal renters, boaters, campers, fishermen and nature lovers. Thank you, and congratulations!
