The Blount County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple complaints regarding ongoing illegal activity in the Rock Springs Road area near County Highway 7 in Hayden.

We are seeing repeated issues with:

Illegal dumping
ATVs and 4-wheelers trespassing on private property
Unlawful discharge of fi****ms at all hours of the day and night

This rural area is home to many families who simply want to live in peace and quiet on their own property. While we understand and support responsible outdoor activities in our county, unlawful acts causing disturbance to residents will not be tolerated.

Dumping trash on someone else’s land is illegal.
Riding ATVs/4-wheelers across private property without permission is trespassing.
Firing guns indiscriminately, especially near homes and at all hours, is dangerous and unlawful.

Anyone caught illegally dumping, trespassing, or unlawfully discharging fi****ms in this area will be arrested and prosecuted.

We ask everyone in the community to be respectful of those who live around you. Private property rights matter, and your neighbors deserve to enjoy their homes without disturbance.

If you witness any of these violations, please report it immediately to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office.

Together, let’s keep Blount County safe, clean, and respectful for all who call it home.

In accordance with the Presidential proclamation and Public Law 107-51, Governor Kay Ivey has issued a flag-lowering directive for Sunday, May 3, 2026, to honor America’s fallen firefighters.

Since 1901, over 300 Alabama firefighters have lost their lives related to their service. This Sunday, May 3, 2026, we join the nation in pausing to reflect upon the many sacrifices of our firefighters and pray for them and their families.

Flags on the grounds of the State Capitol Complex in Montgomery and throughout the state of Alabama may be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in observance of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

Governor Ivey’s flag lowering directive can read here: https://governor.alabama.gov/newsroom/2026/05/flags-lowered-in-observance-of-national-fallen-firefighters-memorial-service/
