District I Legislative The District 1 Nay ah Shing Legislative office is comprised of the Baadwewidang Community Center, MLBO Veterans; Women’s Auxiliary, and D1 Powwow Committee.

As of July 11th, 2024, It is headed by District 1 Representative, Carolyn Beaulieu.

The District 1 Elders were treated to a Spa Day, bingo, food, prizes and good company. Many thanks to Davina and company for her beautiful nails, Chastity and Jennifer for their awesome haircuts and Allison for her massage therapy, also to Jaeden for her prayer. Thanks to all the volunteers, we couldn't have done it without all your help! Many miigwetch's to all the Elders who made time in their busy schedule to be with us. ❤️

🇺🇸 Honoring Those Who Served 🇺🇸
Join us on Monday, May 25, 2026, for the Annual Mille Lacs Memorial Day Powwow as we come together to honor and remember all veterans for their service, sacrifice, and dedication to our communities and country.

This special day is free and open to the public. Bring your family, friends, and community spirit as we gather in remembrance, celebration, and gratitude through song, dance, and fellowship.

• Registration begins — Noon
• Grand Entry — 1 p.m.
• Memorial Honoring — 3 p.m.
