Today, Secretary Joey Duckworth of the Onalaska High School Interact club stopped by as their club presented us with several Rotary Lights stuffed animals. Executive Director of Rotary Lights Scott Lundeen and Assistant District Governor for Rotary Kathi Millard were also there for this amazing donation presentation. Thank you so much for this donation. Officers, will at times, give these out during traumatic calls for service as a way to comfort a child. Thank you so much for this wonderful donation.

We want to welcome Officer Josh Larson to the Onalaska Police Department. Officer Larson graduated from the Western Technical College Law Enforcement Academy this past Friday. Officer Larson will now begin his Field Training program with Onalaska PD. Congrats Officer Larson!

Friday May 22nd from 7am to 4pm, Elite Nutrition - Onalaska located at 533 2nd Ave S in Onalaska, will be holding a fundraiser for our Police K9s. Stop by as they will be hosting some raffles and 25% of sales go towards our K9s and their partners. We hope to see you there! Thank you Elite Nutrition for your continued support of our program!

This week is National Police Week. During this time, we wear mourning bands over our badges to pay our respects to Police Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, and everyday, we remember them.

Last night was a night to celebrate as Chief Tim Berg was sworn in as our next Police Chief. Chief Berg has been with Onalaska Police Department since 1998 and has served in various roles to include Patrol Officer, Sergeant, Professional Standards Sergeant, Assistant Chief and now Chief. Congrats Chief Berg!
