1) the repair and weatherproofing of the exterior walls that were previously shared with 315 Leonard (313 & 319 Leonard)

2) bracing the front facade of 315 Leonard

The city will be flushing water lines next week (Sept 14-18). Work will happen overnight to limit disruption, but you might see temporary water discoloration. This routine maintenance ensures high water quality for everyone. Thank you for your patience!

Just a quick friendly reminder when mowing; please blow the grass clippings back onto the lawn instead of into the street. Clippings can clog storm drains and make the road slick for bikes and motorcycles. Thanks so much for helping to keep our city clean and safe!

🚨 City Dump Notice 🚨

Due to ongoing misuse of the City Dump, we are making an immediate change to help protect this resource for our residents.

Effective immediately and until further notice, the City Dump will only be available to city residents. NO COMMERCIAL DUMPING. If you are getting paid for cutting down and/or hauling off a tree, you may not take it to the brush pile.

Please remember:
🏡 The City Dump is ONLY for City of Onaga residents living within the city limits.
⛔ Unauthorized use and trespassing will not be tolerated.
💲There is a fee for dumping whole trees (cut up in smaller than 5ft chunks) and we will be monitoring this. Please pay the fee at City Hall.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation as we work to keep the facility available for those it is intended to serve.

The City of Onaga is accepting applications for the Onaga City Clerk. This is a full-time position (30 hours per week). Computer literate, standard office equipment knowledge, and people skills are a requirement.
A full job description is available at City Hall to anyone 18 years of age or older, high school diploma, and valid driver’s license.

The City of Onaga has an immediate opening for a full-time position as Public Works Assistant. Position requires assisting with work in the management of the Public Works Department including but not limited to streets, water system, wastewater system and parks. Must have high school education and a valid Kansas driver’s license. This employee must possess Class 1 Water Certification, Class 1 Wastewater Certification or the ability to obtain certification within twelve months of hiring. Salary based on qualifications and experience. Applicants must live within the tri-cities area. The City of Onaga is accepting sealed bids for mowing the Onaga Cemetery.
City Council has the power to decline any and all bids.
Duties would include mowing, string trimming around headstones, cleaning up clippings, blowing off stones, and trash & limb removal, which must be done every 2 weeks with special attention to trimming before holidays.
Please bid price per mowing.

Onaga Pool Manager Position - OPEN IMMEDIATELY

The City of Onaga is accepting applications for the 2026 Onaga Pool Manager. This seasonal position oversees all aspects of the swimming pool, in charge of lifeguards, swimming lessons and some pool maintenance. Beginning approximately on the first of May and will run through the end of August. A full job description is available at City Hall to anyone 18 years of age or older.
