First Nebraska Volunteer Infantry Regiment Company A This is the Official Facebook group for the 1st Nebraska. A Civil War Reenactment Group based out of mainly Eastern Nebraska. Welcome to the First Nebraska!

The 1st Nebraska is a group that is open to anyone who is interested in reenacting the American Civil War, no matter their reenacting experience level. Whether you have never seen a reenactment or you are a 10 year veteran, we invite you to join us! We ask that you join us at one of our monthly meetings. We meet the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm in the basement of the American Legion

at 7811 Davenport Street in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will give you an opportunity to meet the members and get a feel of what our group is about. At the meeting you will receive the Unit Handbook, which contains some general information on reenacting, where to purchase equipment, how much, etc. It is designed with the new recruit in mind, but is equally applicable and useful to the veteran. If serving as military isn't for you, civilian members are welcome as well. Our civilians contribute in many different ways, and are ready to help you research your impression. This company has grown to be a small family, a family of fellow soldiers and civilians that you will share many weekends with, and we welcome you with open arms.

13 members of the First Nebraska traveled to Washburn Missouri to participate in the Battle of Pea Ridge. The actual battle ground of Pea Ridge Arkansas is only a few miles away. While there the First combined with members of the 32 Iowa and 1st Minnesota Sharpshooters and fell in with the Muddy River Battalion! This video is of Saturday’s battle from a Birds Eye perspective!
