PACE - Police Athletics for Community Engagement

PACE - Police Athletics for Community Engagement The P.A.C.E. program started in 2005 by the Latino Peace Officers Association in conjunction with the Police Athletic League and volunteers.

PACE is a non-profit organization staffed by dedicated officers and volunteers, committed to preventing at-risk inner-city youth from becoming involved in gang violence. The program is dedicated to preventing “at risk”, inner-city children from becoming involved in gangs, crime and drug use. It provides an opportunity to develop discipline, self-esteem and positive moral values through wholesome c

ompetition. Donations fund equipment purchases, field maintenance, and uniforms. Every penny of your donation goes towards this LOCAL program. Because of sponsor support, these services have been provided at no cost to all participants. This program is not only a constructive outlet for the children to be involved in, but it also gives them a sense of pride and what it means to be part of a team. This is a great program for children who would not be able to afford participation in other sports leagues/clubs.

PACE welcomes new Soccer Academy coach Anthony Wade!

Having first started his coaching career at Alief Taylor High School in Houston, TX, Coach Wade is going into his 3rd year as a coach, where he currently is an Assistant Soccer Coach at Omaha Central. He helped start up Central’s first freshman boy’s soccer team this year, which has added another building step for player development at Central.

Known for having a supportive & holistic coaching style, Coach Wade was given the task of managing the young/developmental teams, where he challenged his players to go outside of their comfort zone on the field, just as he’s done as a coach, having the philosophy “you can’t grow, until you try”. Many of his players did grow & would move up to play on Central’s JV team.

PACE welcomes new Soccer Academy coach Diana Estrada! Diana started playing soccer at the YMCA when she was 5 years old and continued to play throughout college. She recently graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and will be teaching 6th grade in August. She loves being a teacher inside and outside of the classroom. She says that being a coach gives her the best of both worlds!

Welcome to the team! Omaha Central Head Boys Soccer Coach is set to join the PACE Soccer Academy as a coach this summer.

At Central, Nick has led the Eagles through multiple winning seasons, helping them climb in the state rankings, secure major district victories, and establish themselves as a highly competitive Class A program. In 2026, Omaha Central earned a Top 10 state ranking and captured the #1 seed in their district — a major milestone for the program.

Here are some highlights from MLS GO - PACE Juniors Champions Day on 5/16!

All teams were in action on Saturday, with the Columbus Crew winning the K/1st grade division and the New York Red Bulls winning the 2nd/3rd grade division.

After the games, our players were awarded medals and free food was available for all in attendance.

Special thanks to all of our volunteer coaches who helped make this program possible.
