We're still not over this 😭😭. On Friday, our longtime staff, Mr. Ant (Anthony) said goodbye to Mount View BGC. He will be heading back the the classroom to focus on a new career. Of course we had to send him off the way only Mount View can.

Our August Baxter Subaru Jr. Youth of the Month is Matthias. Matthias is a kind, respectful, and compassionate teen who has been a wonderful addition to our summer program. He consistently participates in programming and approaches activities with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Matthias enjoys helping others, especially with math and reading, and is always willing to support his peers when they need assistance. Throughout the summer, he demonstrated strong leadership skills and became one of our standout teen leaders. He has shown patience, responsibility, and encouragement when working with younger members and his peers. Matthias is a great role model and has made a positive impact on our program through his helpful nature, leadership, and dedication.

Our August Baxter Subaru Youth of the Month is Erika. Erika has consistently demonstrated responsibility, respect, and a positive attitude throughout the summer program. She has been dependable and willing to assist staff and other members whenever needed. Erika has shown strong leadership skills when interacting with both teens and younger members, often helping them feel welcomed, included, and supported. She communicates respectfully with others, works well as part of a team, and serves as a positive role model for her peers. Her willingness to help, patience, and maturity have contributed to a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone. Overall, Erika has been a valuable and dependable member of the program this summer. #

🎨Kaila is her name, turning imagination into reality is her game! She's a teen member, and an artist by every sense of the definition!

🎭On a typical day here at club, you can find Kaila inside of our many Arts & Crafts programing with Ms. Anisea on our teen side!

👩‍🎨When she's not creating art, she prefers reading quietly to herself, singing and writing music! Creating from pure expression is what it's all about and you're ahead of game!

Today is the final day for orientation! Orientation will take place from 5:00–7:00 PM.
Families must have all required paperwork completed and attend orientation before students can attend Club for the 2026–2027 school year.

For families who are unable to attend tonight’s orientation, we may be available during office hours from 12:30–2:30 PM to assist with orientation and paperwork. Please call the Club office first at 531-600-1641 to confirm availability, as staff may occasionally be in meetings outside of the building.

Happy Back-to-School Season from Alanna Faison, your Mount View Boys & Girls Club Director! 🖤💛

I’m excited to welcome Club members back to the Club on Thursday, August 20th, after their first day of school! I love working with young people because they have the capacity to change. It is such joy and honor to watch them learn, grow, explore, and become the strong adults of tomorrow!

Being the Club Director of Mount View Boys & Girls Club is a blessing that I never take for granted because not only are families trusting me to lead and keep their children safe, but I can stay in the community I've called home my entire life.

📚Membership: 5–18 (five-year-olds must attend Kindergarten)
🕰️Club Hours: 3–7 p.m.
Transportation: Monroe, Nathan Hale, North, and Northwest

Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone! Being a Mount View Lion is about
