A proud moment for community engagement at UNO! 🎉

During the 2026 State of the University Address, President Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., highlighted the University of Nebraska at Omaha's third consecutive Carnegie Community Engagement Classification—recognition made possible through the authentic partnerships, meaningful research, and community-engaged teaching co-created by UNO and our community. This shared commitment reached more than 10,000 UNO students this past year, contributed to a record-breaking year for students participating in service-learning courses, and highlighted the more than 1,500 unique groups who utilize the Weitz CEC. To our community and UNO partners: thank you. Your expertise, collaboration, and commitment make this work—and its impact on our students and community—possible. We are so proud to be a part of the University of Nebraska and serve our students and community!❤️🖤
