Hey Omaha, mark your calendars for our inaugural Nebraskans for Palestine Art Auction Fundraiser happening on September 26th (event time coming soon) at Clover 24.
We are thrilled to partner with over 40 exceptionally talented local & out-of-state artists who have graciously created & donated 75 pieces of work that will be up for auction. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the life-saving work of Physicians for Palestine. We encourage you to come out and explore the brilliant work of these artists while supporting a great cause.

Entrance to this event is free and thoughtful efforts are being made to ensure that this experience is accessible to all. Please reach out to us if you are interested in attending and have specific accessibility needs.

HEAL Nebraska is looking for volunteers to help with the Hind's 5K and Fun Run on August 22, 2026 at Heartland of America Park.
If you are interested, please fill out this form. Some examples of roles include, but are not limited to, the following: emcee, finish line announcers, photographer, videographers, medics, route helpers, activity table attendants, face painters, and greeters.
To make the event successful, the organizers anticipate needing a minimum of 40 volunteers. (Please note: you do not need to be a professional to volunteer for these roles!)

All volunteers are asked to be present for setup starting at 5:30am sharp until teardown at 11:00 am, if possible.

Are you a World Cup fan? Have you been following many of the exciting matches over the last several weeks? As the games come to a close, join us for a viewing of the final match on Sunday, July 19th.

Nebraskans for Palestine will be hosting a watch party & teach-in at Bora Bora Juice!
Come on out with us on Sunday July 19th at 1pm a little before the match starts to learn more about the complicity of FIFA in Israel’s genocide of Palestinians as well as the extensive sporticide of athletes in Gaza.

Attendance at this event is free of charge & we encourage you to invite your friends as we support a great local business. We hope to see you there as we enjoy the final match & educate ourselves on the connection between soccer & human rights atrocities.

The HEAL Palestine Nebraska Community invites you to attend the second annual “Hind’s 5k & Fun Run for HEAL Palestine” on August 22, 2026 at Heartland of America Park. All ages are welcome!

Don’t feel like running? Stop by anyway! We will have bubbles, chalk, face painting, and more available to runners, spectators, and the public!

Join us for a morning of fun while we raise money to provide critical aid for Gaza’s children.

Times:
Check-in: 6:30 am
5k Start: 8:15 am
1 Mile Start: 9:15 am

Race Registration Fees*:
Ages 12 & Up: $40 with t-shirt
Ages 5-11: $20 with t-shirt
Ages 4 & Under: FREE

*Registrants will receive a shirt if registered by August 3, 2026. If registered after August 3, 2026, a shirt is not guaranteed and fees remain the same. Fees for same day registration are the same with no shirt guaranteed.

Film Screening, “Waltz with Bashir"
Thursday, May 21, 7:00 pm

Waltz with Bashir is a 2008 autobiographical adult animated war documentary film written, produced, and directed by Ari Folman. As a 19-year-old infantry soldier in the 1982 Lebanon War, Folman witnessed the Sabra and Shatila massacre, but realizes that he has no memory of the event. In 2006, he seeks out others who were in Beirut at the time to discuss their memories, including a psychologist specializing in post-traumatic stress disorders and the first journalist to cover the massacre.

Folman gradually fits together a puzzle with the massacre at the center and his witnesses in concentric rinds at various distances. Who knew what was happening? Which Israeli commanders were in a position to stop it? After it was over, it became simply a thing that had happened, seemingly without decision or choice. Had anyone in fact ordered the Christian militia to shoot, or had they spontaneously agreed to kill?

As we recognize another Nakba Day, we know that the best ways to honor the struggle for liberation is through resistance in community.

Join us on Saturday, May 16 for a community Tatreez Day at Gene Leahy Mall (near the dog park) in downtown Omaha from 11AM to 1PM.

This year’s Nakba Day event will also include an interactive historical map of Palestine. Tatreez supplies provided.
Feel free to bring a comfy blanket to sit on and some snacks and join us on Saturday!
