We had a great time connecting with Teri from Omaha 100 Inc! We learned so much about the incredible resources they offer to help families achieve financial stability and pursue homeownership. We love building connections with community partners who help us better support the families we serve, and we're excited about what this partnership could mean for families working toward lasting stability.

We’re just one week away from the Village Roots Golf Tournament, and we still have room for more golfers on the course. ⛳

Every golfer helps us move toward our $15,000 goal to support one local family working toward safe housing, stability, and a stronger future together.

A big thank you to D, also known as Chief, for an incredibly generous donation of baby and toddler clothes, toys, a pack n play, and bouncer.

Her military family is preparing for a move, and she wanted these items to go to local families who could truly use them.

Some of the items already went to one of our families this morning, and the mom was so thankful to receive such nice things.

We’re so grateful for the way our community continues to show up for families!

You don’t need a foursome to golf for a good cause. After a few requests, we just opened up individual golfer registration for the Village Roots Golf Tournament!

So if you want to golf but don’t have a full team, you can still register and we’ll place you with a group.

Your $150 registration includes golf, breakfast & lunch, raffle ticket, drink ticket, and a fun day supporting local families working toward stability

Our golf tournament is June 5 at Pacific Springs, and we still have room for golfers and sponsors.

And this year, the day feels especially meaningful. We have three families moving from mentor homes into stable housing this month, and this tournament helps make that kind of support possible for more families.

Calling all serious golfers, casual golfers, snack golfers, cart drivers, raffle prize enthusiasts, and people who just like a good excuse to spend a Friday in the sun.

Our 4th Annual Golf Tournament is 3 weeks away, and we still have spots open for teams and sponsors.

Today, a mom in our IFC program signed the lease to her own home.

Earlier this year, she had a baby. Soon after, her toddler was able to move into the IFC home with her so they could begin rebuilding as a family. With housing, support, mentoring, and a safe place to land, she kept taking the next step.

And today, she has keys to a home of her own.

This is what your support makes possible. Families staying together. Parents getting back on their feet. Children sleeping under the same roof as their mom.

Some moms spent this year fighting to get their kids back.
Some spent this year learning how to heal.
Some spent this year trying to create stability for the first time in a long time.
And some are finally celebrating Mother’s Day together again.

This week at Village Roots…

📕One dad officially had his DHHS case closed and is now fully on his own with his two kids in their own home.
👩‍🎓One mom graduated from IOP treatment while continuing to care for her children and work toward stability.
🏡 Another mom is preparing to move from a mentor home into her own place with her two kids, hopefully next week.
🗓 Staff spent the week helping families navigate appointments, housing, budgeting, transportation, seasonal clothing changes, and all the little things that help keep families moving forward.
⛳ We also spent the week working behind the scenes on our upcoming golf tournament: securing teams, sponsors, raffle prizes, and community support to help keep this work going.

Sometimes the wins are loud. Sometimes they’re quiet. But they all matter.

A great way to start the week: One of the families we’ve been working with just got a housing voucher, which means they can finally start looking for a place of their own and take a real step toward stability. There’s still work ahead (there always is), but this opens a door that wasn’t open before, and for this family, that really matters. We are so proud of them and grateful we get to be part of moments like this.
